Marvel Universe
Ironman
Iron Man, also known as Tony Stark, is a prominent character in the Marvel Universe. He first appeared in the comic book “Tales of Suspense #39” in March 1963. Stark is a businessman and engineer who runs Stark Industries. He became a superhero after building a technologically advanced armor to sustain his heart and escape his captors.
In terms of power level, Iron Man’s abilities vary greatly depending on the suit he is using. His attack potency ranges from athlete level (as an adult man who regularly trains in combat with Captain America and other highly skilled fighters) to low outerverse level (with the Phoenixbuster, which fragmented the Phoenix Force). Some sources even suggest that certain armors can reach solar system level. However, these values are strictly there for officially comparing different characters in relation to each other. Iron Man’s intelligence, strategic mind, and technological prowess make him a formidable hero regardless of the specific power level of his current suit.

Thanos
Thanos, also known as the Mad Titan, is a supervillain who first appeared in the Marvel comic book “The Invincible Iron Man #55” in February 1973. He was created by writer-artist Jim Starlin. Thanos is an Eternal-Deviant hybrid from the moon Titan. He is regarded as one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe.
In terms of power level, Thanos is one of the strongest beings in the universe. His strength is so vast that he has been able to destroy entire planets with the simple force of his blows. He possesses vast superhuman strength, the full limits of which aren’t known. Death has increased his strength beyond their original limits to levels rivaling or surpassing those of the physically strongest Eternals. He is capable of lifting far in excess of 100 tons without any effort. Thanos can augment his strength with his cosmic energy when needed. His durability is such that he has been able to withstand planet-destroying attacks without any harm. He possesses such an incredible resistance to injury, he has been shown to survive point-blank blasts from universal level entities such as Odin and Galactus.
Thanos’ intellect is dedicated to enhancing his own powers and to the annihilation of all life. He is a genius in virtually all known fields of advanced science and has created technology far exceeding contemporary Earth science. Despite his massive muscular bulk, Thanos is capable of running and moving at speeds greater than the finest human athlete. His musculature produces almost no fatigue toxins during physical activity, giving him limitless superhuman stamina in all physical activities.
Perhaps Thanos’ greatest ability is his capacity to rise from the dead. He can accomplish this by sacrificing others so he can live again or by biding his time in death, recharging his inner strength, so as to return more powerful and terrible than he was before.

Deadpool, also known as Wade Wilson, is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He was created by artist/writer Rob Liefeld and writer Fabian Nicieza, and first appeared in “The New Mutants #98” in February 1991.
In terms of power level, Deadpool possesses a superhuman healing factor derived from that of the mutant Wolverine that allows him to regenerate damaged or destroyed bodily tissue with far greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. His healing factor is significantly more powerful than Wolverine’s as he can regrow missing limbs and organs and has survived blades through his brain on several occasions. Deadpool’s body is highly resistant to most drugs and toxins. He is immune to the effects of all known diseases and infections due to his unique regenerative qualities. His healing factor provides him with an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process to an unknown degree. Deadpool’s musculature generates considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of an ordinary human being, granting him superhuman levels of stamina in all physical activities. He can physically exert himself at peak capacity for several days before boredom or stress takes over.
One of Deadpool’s most powerful feats is his capacity to rise from the dead3. He can accomplish this by sacrificing others so he can live again or by biding his time in death, recharging his inner strength, so as to return more powerful and terrible than he was before.
Wolverine
Wolverine, whose birth name is James Howlett and also known as Logan and Weapon X, is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, often in association with the X-Men. He is a mutant with animal-keen senses, enhanced physical capabilities, a powerful regenerative ability known as a healing factor, a skeleton reinforced with the unbreakable fictional metal adamantium, and three retractable claws in each hand.
Background: Wolverine was born in the late 19th century in Alberta, Canada. After his father was murdered by a cruel ruffian named Thomas Logan, James’ mutant powers manifested, and bony claws emerged from his hands in a rage. He was later abducted and experimented upon by a covert government unit, who bonded unbreakable adamantium to his skeleton. Initially designated Weapon X (later the name of the entire unit), Howlett was renamed both “Logan” and “Wolverine”. He was held captive for at least a decade before escaping with the help of Nick Fury. Wolverine then became a mercenary, frequently working for Magneto’s Brotherhood of Mutants. He was constantly pursued by Weapon X, but managed to evade them with the aid of other superheroes like Spider-Man.
Summary: Wolverine is a complex character, portrayed as a gruff loner susceptible to animalistic “berserker rages” despite his best efforts, while simultaneously being an incredibly knowledgeable and intelligent polyglot, strategist, and martial artist, partially due to his extended lifespan and expansive life experiences. He has been featured in comic books, films, and video games.
Strength and Powers: Wolverine’s strength is enough to allow him to press just about 2 tons. His adamantium renders his bones virtually unbreakable and his claws capable of penetrating almost any substance depending on its thickness and the force he exerts. His reinforced skeleton also enables him to withstand heavy physical pressure, giving his muscles sufficient force to briefly lift 800 pounds or more. He has superhuman fighting skills and strength, unbreakable claws, an Adamantium skeleton, and a healing factor. His healing factor allows him to survive nearly any injury, and his additional mutations make him the perfect hunter, fighter, and survivalist. His healing slows his entire aging process and keeps him young, physically vital, and strong despite his advanced age. He looks no older than a middle-aged man. This ability does not help him in a fight, but it does allow him to continue fighting for many years – or even decades – to come.
According to the standard Mutant Power Level Classification of Marvel’s Earth-616 (Prime Earth), Wolverine is a Beta-level mutant, which means that he can actually pass off as a human, but only if not observed very carefully. He is listed by Nick Fury as a Power Level 9 threat. Wolverine is one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe.

Background: Steve Rogers was a frail man from New York City who enlisted in the army to fight the Axis Powers during World War II. However, due to his small size and underdeveloped physique, he was rejected. Seeing potential in Rogers, Professor Abraham Erskine, a pioneer in the development of a Super-Soldier for the United States, brought him into Project Rebirth. This was an experiment aimed at enhancing the human body to its peak powers. Rogers was subjected to Erskine’s treatments, which included a specialized serum and exposure to a unique form of radiation. As a result, he became the world’s first fully developed Super-Soldier. Now muscular and tall, with amazing strength and agility, Rogers watched in horror as a Nazi spy shot and killed Erskine, ensuring Rogers would be the last of his kind. Throughout his career, he has clashed with numerous villains, including his evil counterpart in Germany, the Red Skull.
Strength and Powers: Captain America’s physical strength is enhanced to the very peak of human potential, making him consistently able to sustain lifts of 800 lbs. He can move at speeds equal to that of the absolute finest human athlete, being capable of running at a sustained 30 mph. His durability is amplified to the highest human potential, making him very durable. This has allowed him to survive many forms of extensive punishment throughout his career that would injure an ordinary man. His agility and reflexes are also amplified to the highest human potential. His body automatically eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing chemicals in his muscles, giving him exceptional endurance. He also has a peak healing ability, meaning he heals faster than the average person. The white blood cells and Super-Soldier Serum in his body are efficient enough to fight off most microbes, foreign bodies, and other pathogens from his body, giving him a high immunity to all infections and diseases.
According to the standard Mutant Power Level Classification of Marvel’s Earth-616 (Prime Earth), Captain America is classified as an enhanced human. He possesses powers superior to any Olympic-level athlete that has ever competed. Nick Fury’s intel classified him as Power Level 8.

Hulk
Hulk, whose real name is Robert Bruce Banner, is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, and first appeared in the debut issue of The Incredible Hulk in May 1962.
Background: Bruce Banner is a genius scientist who, due to exposure to gamma radiation, transforms into the Hulk when subjected to emotional stress. This transformation often leads to destructive rampages and conflicts that complicate Banner’s civilian life. The Hulk’s level of strength is normally conveyed as proportionate to his level of anger. Despite both Hulk and Banner’s desire for solitude, the character has a large supporting cast, including Banner’s love interest Betty Ross, his best friend Rick Jones, his cousin She-Hulk, and therapist and ally Doc Samson.
Summary: Hulk is primarily represented by the alter ego Hulk, a green-skinned, hulking, and muscular humanoid possessing a limitless degree of physical strength, and the alter ego Dr. Robert Bruce Banner, a physically weak, socially withdrawn, and emotionally reserved physicist. The character has dissociative identity disorder (DID), and both of these alter egos typically resent each other. Hulk has been represented with other alter egos, from a mindless, destructive force, to a brilliant warrior, a self-hating protector, a genius scientist in his own right, and a gangster.
Strength and Powers: Hulk’s strength is beyond class 100 strength, meaning he is strong enough to press 100 tons. His strength increases as he becomes angrier. He has displayed on many occasions a nearly invincible exterior, and his strength can match almost the best the Marvel universe has to offer. He has destroyed meteors the size of Earth with his fists. He also has the ability to generate shockwaves and emit and manipulate gamma rays. His strength is directly proportional to his level of anger, and he has been known to lift over 150 billion tons. In one instance, he supported the entire weight of a star with his strength alone. If the star’s weight was equivalent to the weight of Sol, the Hulk is capable of lifting 2 octillion tons. These numbers are far beyond human comprehension, and the laws of physics as humanity understands them simply do not apply to the Hulk.
According to the standard Mutant Power Level Classification of Marvel’s Earth-616 (Prime Earth), Hulk is classified as an Omega-level mutant, which means that he is an extremely powerful character in the Marvel Universe. He is listed by Nick Fury as a Power Level 9 threat. Hulk is one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe.

For generations, the people of Wakanda have followed and worshipped the Black Panther, a superior warrior granted extra abilities by the Panther God upon proving him or herself worthy in a combat tournament open to all Wakandans. Wakanda stands apart from many nations because of its advanced technological nature, well-integrated with centuries-old traditions. Wakanda’s greatest natural resource, Vibranium, provides Wakanda both independence and technological superiority. The vibration-absorbing metal is cultivated in the Great Mound. For much of the modern era, T’Challa has worn the mantle of the Black Panther, acting as both Wakanda’s champion and its king.
Summary: Black Panther first appeared in the 1960s and was groundbreaking in the comic book world as the first major superhero of African descent. His first appearance on the big screen was in Captain America: Civil War and he quickly became a favorite character in the MCU. Since he is still fairly new after only appearing in three movies, viewers of Marvel films have been trying to learn more about his abilities and background. The comics go into much more detail than any of the movies do. While fans have already seen him claw Cap’s shield, indulge in the heart-shaped herb, and run with super speed, there are many powers that have yet to be introduced on the big screen.
Strength and Powers: Black Panther has peak human strength, which makes him stronger than the average human. Even though Black Panther does have some incredibly awesome tech at his disposal, most of it is based on vibranium. Historically the main source of his powers is the Heart-Shaped Herb which provides him with enhanced speed, strength, and durability. The special herb has enhanced T’Challa’s physical strength to the pinnacle of human perfection. While not superhuman, he is considerably much stronger than the average human and is as strong as a human can be without being considered superhuman. At his peak, marvel hand-books class him to lift just under 800 lbs.
According to the standard Mutant Power Level Classification of Marvel’s Earth-616 (Prime Earth), Black Panther is classified as an enhanced human. He possesses powers superior to any Olympic-level athlete that has ever competed. Nick Fury’s intel classified him as Power Level 8.

Doctor Strange
Dr. Stephen Strange, also known as Doctor Strange, is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He was created by Steve Ditko and first appeared in Strange Tales #110 in July 1963.
Background: Stephen Strange was a highly successful, yet notably egotistical, surgeon who suffered a terrible accident that led him to evolve in ways he could have never foreseen. After a car accident caused severe nerve damage to his hands, ending his surgical career, Strange sought out the Ancient One, the Sorcerer Supreme, in hopes of finding a cure. Instead, he was trained in the mystic arts and became a master of both the mystical and the martial arts. He acquired an assortment of mystical objects, including the powerful Eye of Agamotto and Cloak of Levitation, and took up residence in a mansion referred to as the Sanctum Sanctorum, located in New York City. Strange assumed the title of Sorcerer Supreme and, with his friend and valet Wong, defends the world from mystical threats.
Summary: Doctor Strange serves as the Sorcerer Supreme, the primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats. He is one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe. His powers and abilities originally stemmed from tapping into otherworldly entities and planes, chief among them the Vishanti, a triumvirate of powerful beings who granted magic-users temporary access to their essences through spells. Strange called upon the Vishanti throughout his early years as a magician to aid in his battles against various forms of magical danger and creatures. As his career advanced, Strange lost and regained both his title as Sorcerer Supreme and his connection to the Vishanti several times due to injuries or extreme challenges to his authority. During these times, he sought other forms of sorcery to wield, including so-called catastrophe or chaos magic, blood spells, and demon possession. Ultimately, the doctor has found himself returning to more traditional wellsprings of magic after bouts with darker forms, each dalliance with the dark inevitably impacting him one way or another.
Strength and Powers: Doctor Strange has exhibited a number of powerful abilities in the comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe that prove why he’s the Sorcerer Supreme. In both the comics and the movies, Doctor Strange is one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe. He has been imbued with so many mystical powers and abilities, that few characters can match up against the Sorcerer Supreme. Some of his powers include:
Astral Projection: One of the first acts of magic to which Stephen Strange bears witness is his astral form being pushed out of his physical body by the Ancient One at Kamar-Taj. During his training, Doctor Strange takes advantage of astral projection to increase his knowledge in a unique form of studying: he reads the ancient tomes at his disposal while his physical form sleeps.
Extreme Intelligence: Even before Doctor Strange got involved with the mystic arts, he was already an extraordinary individual. Being one of the most famous and successful surgeons in the world made it quite clear that Strange was an incredibly intelligent man. His intelligence continues to be a vital tool in his role as a superhero, and he remains one of the smartest minds in the Marvel Universe.
Flight: Doctor Strange gained the power of flight due to his Cloak of Levitation. The cloak allows Strange to travel at supersonic speeds which also makes him one of the fastest heroes around.
Summoning Objects: Doctor Strange is capable of summoning all kinds of objects in his Sanctum Sanctorum. Imagine being able to summon just about any object that comes to mind in the blink of an eye. There aren’t too many people who wouldn’t love to have a power like that. Yet as impressive as that would be, for Doctor Strange, that’s more like a fun party trick he can do.
According to the standard Mutant Power Level Classification of Marvel’s Earth-616 (Prime Earth), Doctor Strange is classified as an Omega-level mutant, which means that he is an extremely powerful character in the Marvel Universe. He is listed by Nick Fury as a Power Level 9 threat. Doctor Strange is one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe.

Black Widow
Black Widow, whose real name is Natalia Alianovna Romanoff, is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She was created by Stan Lee, Don Rico, and Don Heck, and first appeared in Tales of Suspense #52 in April 1964.
Background: Natasha Romanoff, also known as Black Widow, was born in the Soviet Union. Orphaned as a child, she was rescued during an attack on Stalingrad by a man named Ivan Petrovitch Bezukhov, who looked after and trained her. As she grew older, Natasha’s talents caught the attention of Soviet Intelligence, soon to be known as the KGB, and was recruited into their ranks. During World War II, Natasha was kidnapped by the Hand, who sought to make her a brainwashed master assassin. Luckily, she was rescued by Steve Rogers (Captain America) and Logan (who would later become Wolverine). Following World War II, Natasha progressed into the Black Widow Program, where young girls like her were conditioned to become sleeper agents. Trained at a facility called the Red Room, Natasha was also enhanced with the Soviets’ version of the Super-Soldier serum, gifting her with peak human strength and stamina, as well as resistance to disease and slowed-down aging.
Summary: Black Widow is a super spy Natasha Romanoff who has become one of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s most deadly assassins and a frequent member of the Avengers. Despite her checkered past, she has overcome her upbringing and defected, setting her on a lifelong path of redemption. She is a dangerous secret agent trained in espionage, stealth, disguise, infiltration, and demolitions. Her talents and years of experience have enabled her to reach a high ranking as an agent of SHIELD.
Strength and Powers: Black Widow’s powers and abilities are a result of the Red Room’s variant of the Super-Soldier Serum. As a result, many of her body’s physical capabilities have been heightened to the peak of human ability. Her physical strength is heightened to a level that is beyond the natural physical limits of a woman of her height, weight, and build. She is capable of lifting up to 500 lbs. Her speed is also enhanced to the peak of human capability. Natasha is as fast as a human can be without being classified as superhuman. Her natural agility is heightened to the peak of human capability. She is as agile as a human being can be without being classified as superhuman. Her reaction time is similarly enhanced and functions with the peak of human efficiency and capability. Natasha’s bodily tissues have been augmented to the pinnacle of human development. Though she can be injured in the typical ways other humans can be, she is as physically tough as a human being can be without being classified as superhuman. Her five senses are enhanced and function at the peak of human perfection. While she is susceptible to disease like all other ordinary humans, her ability to resist and recover from them is heightened to the peak of human capability. The serum variant has also extended her lifespan by dramatically slowing her natural aging process. Although she is almost 70 years old, she has the youthful appearance and vitality of a woman in the physical prime of her life.
According to the standard Mutant Power Level Classification of Marvel’s Earth-616 (Prime Earth), Black Widow is classified as an enhanced human. She possesses powers superior to any Olympic-level athlete that has ever competed. Nick Fury’s intel classified her as Power Level 7.
